Knowledge of religion and social culture is imparted here. To attain enlightenment, Swami Satyananda had come to this ashram of Dalhousie for about a month in 1925.
During this time he also wrote many religious books here. Later Swamiji spent the last days of his life in this ashram and after his death this place came to be known as Paramdham. Presently this house or ashram is being taken care of by the devotees of Swami ji. Satsang and other religious programs are often organized here from time to time. This ashram is 5 km from Gandhi Chowk. Is situated at this distance. This ashram has the provision of 250 devotees to stay together.
