Best Time To Visit in Darjeeling
The best time to visit Darjeeling is between the months of April to June. During this time, when there is a lot of heat in other parts of the country, the temperature of Darjeeling is between 14 to 8 degrees Celsius. During this time, a large number of tourists come here. If you want to enjoy a lot of cold, then you can come here between November to December.Β

How to Reach in Darjeeling
By Air: The nearest airport to Darjeeling is Bagdogra which is 88 km from here. Darjeeling can be reached after a journey of about three and a half hours from the airport. Bagdogra Airport is connected by air to the metro cities of the country. So you can reach here by plane.
By Road: Bus services are available from Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus, Siliguri to reach Darjeeling, Mirik and Kalimpong. If you want to go by Darjeeling bus then you have to reach Siliguri first. After this you can reach Darjeeling in about three to three and a half hours by seat sharing buses or jeeps.
By Train: New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is the nearest railway station and is about 88 kilometers from Darjeeling. NJP is also connected to all major cities of the country, with most of the trains heading for the north-eastern states stopping at this junction. After this, you can reach Darjeeling by bus or taxi from here in two and a half to three hours in Darjeeling

1. Batasia Loop
It has been constructed to pay tribute to those killed in freedom struggle and various battles before independence. Apart from this, the toy train here takes a hairpin turn. The bird’s eye view of the Kanchenjunga mountain range is seen from here. The railway track of Bastasia Loop can be called the most beautiful railway line of Darjeeling. The charm of this magnificent place is its unique design. The track passes through a tunnel through a hill and then the track surrounds the hill.
2. Cable Car
There is a ropeway three km from the city, which takes you from Darjeeling to Rangit valley. At the other end is Singla Bazaar. The ropeway ride passes through the clouds and from here you can have a panoramic view of the tea estate below. If you did not ride a cable car, then the journey to Darjeeling would be considered incomplete. It also has the status of India’s oldest ropeway.
3. Lloyd Botonical Garden
Some rare wildlife and vegetation, excellent weather and greenery all around make Lloyd Botanical Garden an ideal place. This 80-acre garden is spread over about a third of Darjeeling. During the rainy season, orchid orchards are in their best shape and are also put up for sale at some of the stalls here.
4. Darjeeling Himalayan Railway

8. Rock Garden
Rock Garden is popularly known as Barboti Garden among the locals. Located about 10 km from the city, this garden is the perfect tourist place. Outing here attracts Salanio a lot.
